Nestling in picturesque Dentdale, in that corner of the Yorkshire Dales National Park that is actually in Cumbria, is on of the most remote breweries in the Country. In March 1990, with help from the Rural Development Commission, 'Oftcommer' Martin Stafford built Dent Brewery out of a converted stone barn.

A rich full flavoured strong stout with a roast coffee aroma. The dominant roast character is balanced by a warming sweetness and a raisiny, fruit-cake taste which lingers on into the long aftertaste, making this a very satisfying drink.

This rich and complex, chestnut coloured beer has a warming, dry finish to follow its unusual combination of sweet and bitter flavours. A coffee aroma, with hints of fruit, precedes chocolate malt, dried fruit and hops, which vie for attention in the taste.
