Terms and Conditions

In order to comply with the European Union (EU) Directive on Distance Selling, the following Terms & Conditions must be agreed to before your order can be processed.

1. Guarantee of Quality

Lakeland Hampers guarantees that all products contained in our Hampers are of the highest quality, that all manufacturers/suppliers have signed Certificates of Assurance that their products meet current EU legislation standards. Some hampers contain fresh food items which should be refrigerated on arrival.

2. Payment Options

Lakeland Hampers accepts all major credit and debit cards (no minimum) and uses a secure payment system.

3. Returns Procedure

Lakeland Hampers makes every effort to ensure hampers arrive in perfect condition. However, in the unlikely event of a hamper not being delivered within 14 days of placing an order customers should advise Lakeland Hampers. Lakeland Hampers will make every effort to locate the hamper, and if necessary, send a replacement at our expense or provide a full refund. If a hamper arrives damaged in any way, customers should contact Lakeland Hampers within 3 days of receipt. In this case Lakeland Hampers will, depending upon our customers' preference, arrange for the damaged hamper or item(s) to be picked up by our Carriers and returned to the company. Lakeland Hampers will either send a replacement hamper or replacement items, upon confirmation that the damaged items have been returned via our Carriers.

4. Refunds

Refunds for valid claims will be made via the same payment method you used to place order.

5. Delivery Method & Times

Deliveries within the United Kingdom are made within 2/3 working days by our Carriers. Lakeland Hampers will make every effort to dispatch orders within 2 days of receipt. Delivery will be Monday to Friday (excluding bank Holidays) only, unless specifically requested. Filling desired delivery date in with a Saturday delivery does not constitute specific request. 6. Retention of Title

This remains with Lakeland Hampers until the goods are paid for in full.

7. Delivery Charges

These are not included within the cost of the hampers. Standard delivery cost is £6.95 for delivery anywhere in the UK mainland up to 25kg max weight. Weights above 25kg will incur a surcharge of 50p per kilo. Some products are not suitable for export. Please contact us for overseas deliveries.

8. Application of Value Added Tax (VAT)

VAT is included in the cost of each hamper, where applicable.

9. Order Confirmations

Upon submitting an order using our automated shopping cart system you will receive a confirmation e-mail. In the unlikely event of us being unable to fulfil an order placed (due to having sold out of a hamper or hampers selected), we will advise you by the first working day following receipt of that order. If payment has been made on an order that we are unable to fulfil we will immediately refund payment by the same method as the payment made.

11. Data Protection

Lakeland Hampers does not sell to anyone its database of customers and information contained on customers remains confidential to the company.

12. Alcohol

Alcohol is not for sale to people under the age of 18. A signature will be required on delivery. Where the delivery contains alcoholic merchandise the delivery driver may ask for appropriate proof of age identification. Where the delivery cannot be signed for by a person over the age of 18 or where the delivery driver is not satisfied that the person has been able to provide acceptable proof of age identification then the delivery will not be made and a card will be left with instructions on how to arrange re-delivery.

13. Substitutions

Whilst every effort will be made to supply the items as specified, the contents of Hampers are subject to availability. Lakeland Hampers reserves the right to substitute items of similar or higher value, where appropriate, should the need arise.

While every effort will be made to meet shoppers demands, cancellations or variations may be necessary as a result of Act of God, War, Strike, Lockout, Labour Dispute, Fire, Flood, Drought or other causes beyond the control of Lakeland Hampers.
